Professional Background
I don't follow the manual. I write it after the job is done.
I'm a business enthusiast who walks into a room and immediately spots what others miss. The gap in the process. The simpler path nobody tried. My background spans marketing, operations, and business development, and what ties it all together is one thing: I take full ownership and I deliver.
From managing operations at a textile company in Amritsar to leading a team at a Y Combinator backed startup in Bangalore, to now studying at one of Europe's top business schools in Dublin, every chapter has been about figuring it out and moving forward.
"In business, you're either at the table or you're on the menu. I intend to stay at the table."
Professional Journey
Weekday is a B2B hiring platform backed by Y Combinator. I joined as a Business Development Associate and was promoted to Pod Leader within two months, one of the fastest progressions on the team. In this role I managed a team, owned stakeholder reporting, and led end-to-end lead generation using a data-driven segmentation approach. I built performance tracking systems with daily check-ins that drove a 20% increase in task completion, and achieved a 25% positive candidate engagement rate through structured multi-channel outreach across phone, email, and online communities. I learned what it means to take full ownership in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment where results are everything.
A part-time role that gave me my first real taste of operational management. I coordinated cross-functional communication between production, logistics, and finance teams, identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements that reduced operational delays by 15%. I managed financial transactions, data reporting, and reconciliation to support accurate decision-making. Achieved 95% on-time task delivery while learning how a business actually runs from the ground up. This experience gave me a commercial instinct that no classroom can teach.
My first hands-on marketing role. I conducted market research and competitive analysis to build actionable business recommendations that directly informed strategic decisions and contributed to a 5% sales increase. I planned and executed paid social campaigns on Meta and Instagram, increasing customer engagement by 12% through targeted multi-channel outreach. I also supported the team with case studies, performance reporting, and operational analysis. This role confirmed that I enjoy working at the intersection of data and creativity.
My Thinking on AI
"AI won't take your job. A person using AI will."
I use AI every single day. For research, for structuring ideas, for finding angles I might have missed, for making complex things simple to understand and deliver.
But here's what doesn't change: the final thinking, the final decision, the final output is always mine. AI gives me a faster starting point. My judgment gives it direction.
In a world moving this fast, knowing how to use these tools isn't optional anymore. It's the baseline. I'd rather be the person who masters them.
What Others Say About Me
Pritish has demonstrated exceptional leadership, initiative, and a commitment to excellence. His rapid progression from intern to team leader in just two months is a testament to his remarkable abilities and work ethic.
He has demonstrated an impressive blend of academic excellence and practical business acumen. His contributions to class discussions and projects were insightful and thought-provoking.
He consistently excelled in the field of marketing, demonstrating a deep understanding of complex concepts and an ability to apply them creatively. He possesses a remarkable work ethic.
I do not wait to be told what to do. I look at a problem, figure out the best path, and move. Whether it is a team of one or leading others, the result is my responsibility and I treat it that way.
When I take on a task I do not just complete it the way it has always been done. I look for the smarter approach, the more effective route, the version that actually works better. That habit is not something I switch on. It is always running.
I hold my work to a standard that sometimes feels unreasonable even to me. I have handed things in knowing they were better than what anyone else would have produced and still wondered if I could have done more. That is not self-doubt. That is a standard worth keeping.
Give me a problem, a deadline, and room to think and I will deliver something that surprises you. I thrive in environments that trust people to figure it out rather than follow a script. That is where I do my best work.
The Full Picture
The CV gets you in the room. This is what happens when you actually meet me. Tenacious. That is the word people use. I prefer relentless. I go for what I want, I push until the end, and I find a way even when there is no obvious one.
While studying in Dublin I worked in wine retail. What started as a part-time job turned into something I didn't expect.
I built genuine knowledge of wine varietals, regions, and food pairing. But more than that, working directly with customers every day did something else for me entirely. As someone who is naturally introverted, standing behind a counter and talking confidently about Burgundy versus Bordeaux, navigating accents and conversations I'd never have had back home, it quietly changed me.
My vocabulary grew. My confidence grew. I got comfortable in rooms where I previously would have stayed quiet.
Varietals, regions, and food pairing developed through hands-on retail in Dublin.
Daily customer interactions built communication skills and the ability to read a room.
Navigating Dublin accents and international customers accelerated my adaptability.
Organised university-level events and volunteered for NGO community outreach in India.
A Travel Enthusiast's Lens
Travel is not just something I do. It is part of who I am. I have been fortunate enough to explore a wide range of destinations across India, from the bustling northern cities to the serene landscapes of the south, each journey adding a completely different layer to how I see the world. Beyond India, moving to Dublin has been my biggest adventure yet, immersing myself in a new culture, a new way of thinking, and a completely different pace of life. Every place I have visited has made me sharper, more adaptable, and more curious. I do not travel to escape. I travel to understand.
